Cathay lights up the holidays with a new initiative dedicated to Asia Miles members. It's called "Rewards in the Air" and is a promotion designed to make travel, shopping and everyday moments during the Christmas and New Year season even more rewarding.

By registering for the promotion, Cathay members can get up to 5,700 bonus miles completing a series of six missions by January 31, 2026. The proposed activities are intentionally simple and related to the daily use of the loyalty program: from accumulating or using miles to interacting with the app and official Cathay channels.
The initiative involves the entire Cathay ecosystem: flights, shopping, travel, lifestyle experiences and partners, offering members the chance to earn miles as they plan parties, choose gifts or plan upcoming travel.
There is also an incentive for those who are not yet enrolled: new members can earn an extra 1,200-mile bonus, to which are added those of missions when completed.
What are the goals of the challenge
Missions range from completing a single miles transaction, to using multiple categories, to reaching accumulation or redemption thresholds. There is also no shortage of "light" goals, such as checking in on the Asia Miles by Cathay app or signing up for group communications, which earn bonus miles in seconds.
- Mission 1: Earn a 500 bonus by completing 1 mileage transaction (Earn or Redeem)
- Mission 2: Earn a bonus of 1,000 by completing mileage transactions in at least 2 categories
- Mission 3: Earn a bonus of 2,000 by earning at least 20,000 miles
- Mission 4: Earn a bonus of 2,000 by redeeming at least 15,000 miles
- Mission 5: Earn a bonus of 100 by completing a check-in mission on the Asia Miles by Cathay app
- Mission 6: Earn a bonus of 100 by signing up for all Cathay communication channels.
