I "burned" over half a million Krisflyer miles this year! When the email came, I got scared

There is a time at the end of the year when platforms take you by the hand and say, "Hey, look what you've been up to in the last 12 months."
In this article:
Spotify does it with music. Instagram with posts. And of course all the loyalty programs follow closely behind as well, the nicest of which include ones that talk about the program in general and not just the individual user, such as Miles&More's.
And then, the day after Holy Christmas, when you're convinced they're over by now comes HER: the email from KrisFlyer. Open. You scroll. And you realize that yes, This year you played for real.
Collected over 82 billion miles
Before talking about my numbers we look at those in the Singapore Airlines loyalty program, a program that has seen many changes this year: the devaluation of tickets, the birth of the Access Award tickets, l'integration of Scoot and the birth/end of several business partnerships.
Especially Was the year that SQ's loyalty program cut 10million members and also launched a couple of interesting activities for the occasion, which of course we have told about here on TFC.

During the course of 2025 more than 82 billion krisflyer miles have been "burned." a mountain to figure out would be enough to redeem over 1,000 tickets (per day) to fly aboard the Suite on the A380, the world's best first class cabin. Of course, miles can not only be used for flights, but also for experiences and shopping.
And as we have seen in Miles&More there are few users who also earn more than 2M miles in a year.

Similarly, users can earn miles in many ways. Certainly by flying Singapore and Scoot, but also by shopping at KrisShop, events and excursions with Pelago, credit cards, and many other activities, and well 600k users have earned miles from at least 2 or more sources.

And nearly 1M miles, a few considering the total number, were given away through contests during the year, but activities that also gave unique experiences such as the Lady Gaga concert tickets.
Il barbone and Krisflyer

I renewed my Gold level again this year., but as I have written in recent days I don't think my status will go beyond August 2026. The news in the Italian market prompts me to focus, at least for a couple of years, on Miles&More. This is not to say that I will not continue to use this program, which I consider one of the most interesting in the Star Alliance landscape.

In total, I earned about 29k miles through flights and just under 400k miles through other activities.

Of course, most of the miles I "earned" were simply. Transferring from Memebership Rewards to KrisFlyer, points that I needed almost exclusively for Redeeming tickets for my birthday present. The miles flown instead come from my Lufthansa and TAP Portugal flights. made before having the Senator card via Status Match.

Singapore also informed me that I am part of the small group of those who have accumulated the most miles during 2025, I have no trouble believing it although surely there must be many millionaires who have earned more miles just by flying.

Points are not meant to be saved; they are meant to be burned. That means you have them and you have to spend them, not set them aside for retirement. I used over 554k kf miles this year, which is all the miles I credited and also the ones I already had in my account And not just for flights already made.

And as you can see if I was in the 1% of the accumulators, I am not on the top list of users. Accomplice also to the devaluation of points and changes in the program I imagine that in the last few months of this year many people have been dipping into their accounts to get the most out of them before the increase in award ticket prices. Me, for example, I bet on a date next year that could mean the debut of Singapore Airlines' new cabins aboard its A350s, we shall see.
In conclusion

A preCovid study pointed to the value of miles around the world as, potentially, the third largest currency on the planet. It is not hard to think so given the amount of money that miles are worth to both companies and passengers, you just have to know how to exploit them and that is what we teach in our Training Center, To become a dot master yourself you just sign up and put our advice into practice.
