When I travel, I try, as much as possible, to Always go to sleep in a different hotel and especially in a different area: in this way I also try to give an answer to those who are undecided about which specific area of a city to stay in.
In this article:

Although, it must be said, Hong Kong turns out just fine; of course, being on either side of the Bay can make a tiny bit of difference.

The Motto by Hilton Hong Kong Soho is located in the heart of Sheung Wan, one of the most authentic yet dynamic neighborhoods on Hong Kong Island. We are just a stone's throw from SoHo and Central, with restaurants, clubs and galleries practically on the doorstep, and just a few minutes' walk from the stops MTR of Sheung Wan and Central, making it possible to move comfortably throughout the city.

The area is a perfect mix of tradition and modernity: markets, temples, street food and skyscrapers coexist on the same block, making the hotel a ideal base for both first-time visitors to Hong Kong and those who want to experience the city "as a local," without sacrificing the convenience of being in an ultra-central location.
Reservation
I will never get tired of saying it: if you want the perks (and the points) you have to book directly on the Hilton app and site; conversely, if status and points in the hotel chains don't "give a damn," then you have to go in search of the promo that allows you to accumulate the most points in the program we are interested in.

Obviously in my case it is a given: I want to renew the status Hilton Diamond so I only ever book directly, except when I exploit Fine Hotels&Resorts by American Express.

The cost of the room was 143€ for one night, thanks to the status I had a choice of breakfast or credit to spend on the restaurant, and I opted for this since, due to an early flight, I would not have been able to take advantage of breakfast.
Check-in

I arrived in less than 30 minutes from the airport, first the train that connects the airport with Hong Kong Station and then a stop to get to Sheung Wan.
Very quick operations, very Motto environment and then off to the room.
The room

The hotel is a skyscraper of 38 floors, which, however, if you look around looks like a townhouse. My room was at the 17°, Unfortunately, I didn't have great eyesight.
The room in this sign, which echoes the model Moxy/Aloft by Marriott is essential. You can see, however, that we are talking about a new and modern hotel.
Essential means minimal. No closet, a bed Queen, mega-screen TV and a small desk. Obviously nothing in the minibar, but by now even 5-star hotels leave it empty for you.
Small bathroom, but with everything you need.

Let's say that, by some Hong Kong standards, the room is not small, and more importantly, it can accommodate a couple who also have suitcases, not just the trolley like yours truly.
The structure
At 38° floor there is a rooftop bar, not a lounge although like Diamond I was offered a drink. I was thus able to appreciate the view. Of course the ambiance is not wow, but the view is worth the wait for the elevator to get there.

Even more spectacular and in some ways unexpected, the panoramic elevator from the 38° plan takes you to the roof.
Of course if you suffer from vertigo it's not the most beautiful place in the world, but if you want to take some photos instead, it's really an amazing spot also because there are no grates or protective glass windows above the parapet.
Otherwise, the hotel does not offer much else. On the ground floor there is a micro champagne bar beside the reception
And an environment that I didn't understand what purpose it had, but it was design.
In conclusion

Not having tried the breakfast I can only review the hardware and I must say that it convinced me, the location is perfect for those who want to wander around the "alleys" of a megalopolis, but also be minutes away from everything that matters.
