Are you going to the U.S. in the summer with La Compagnie? You could fly on a Boeing 757 (with the unknown of IFE and wi-fi)

France's La Compagnie lost its title as the world's only all-Business company two years ago when Beond began operating between European and Saudi Arabia and the Maldives.

But how far the level of the product offered on board and value for money remains for the time being unattainable by the Emirates-Maldivian 'rival'.
On board its two Airbus A321LRs it offers. Lie-flat seats, gourmet meals, a more than decent IFE in terms of audio content and video on a screen built into the seats (and not on an iPad or something) And free, super-fast and reliable wi-fi all along the Atlantic crossing.
However, those who choose to fly Milan Malpensa-Newark during June and September may find a different product on board than what the carrier has been offering since spring 2022, when it began operating at the Lombardy airport.

In fact, a few days ago, the specialized website aeroroutes.com broke the news that during those two months several rotations between MXP and EWR will be operated not with the usual A32LR, but with a Boeing 757-200. Specifically, this will take place on June 2, 9, 11, 14, 17, 18, 20, 24 and 26, as well as every Wednesday between Sept. 2 and Sept. 30, namely Sept. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. A similar thing will happen on flights between Paris Orly and Newark, but not on flights between Nice and Newark, which operate on a seasonal basis precisely during Summer.

Sources close to the carrier let it be known that the chartering of the Boeing 757 would have been necessary just coinciding with the restart of the Nice Newark, so as not to penalize frequencies (and consequently seat supply) to and from Milan and Paris in the face of very high demand, which would already be around 40% (of booked seats) during June.
For La Compagnie, the use of the Boeing 757 constitutes a kind of return to the past, and thus to a machine whose reliability and performance are well known, given that the transalpine carrier had started its operations in 2014 (with flights initially to and from Paris Charles De Gaulle and then, since 2015, also to and from London Luton also on Newark) right with a pair of 757s, with 74-seat cabins and angle-flat (i.e., not fully horizontal) seats arranged four per row in a 2-2 configuration.

Both aircraft had been replaced during 2019 by as many Airbus A321LRs capable of greater range and a 76-seat cabin with fully lie-flat seats, Inflight Entertainment system with a screen built into the seats (while on the 757 passengers were given an I-pad with loaded content) and wi-fi connection.
The 757 that will be chartered during the upcoming Summer will not be one of those employed until 2019, as one of them is currently in service with Icelandair and the other was purchased by the American Aventure Aviation, which is using it for spare parts.
The Flight Club asked La Compagnie where it sourced the Boeing, and thus what features it has, but got no answer despite the fact that flights operated with the 757 are already on sale on its website.

Just It can be seen from the website that there will be 56 seats on board and that the seats will be arranged in rows of four in a 2-2 configuration.
However, assuming that the seats are lie-flat (like those on the A321LR) and that the in-flight service (food&beverage, amenity kit and whatnot) is the same as that offered on the A321, we would have liked to know (and be able to report to our readers) whether the 757 will be equipped with wi-fi connection and the features of the in-flight entertainment system, which thus remain an unknown at present.
