Kuala Lumpur continues to reinvent itself and does so with a new address destined to become a landmark for those who love lifestyle hotels, sophisticated design and fine dining.
In this article:
In fact, on January 12, 2026, the Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur, Kimpton brand's first hotel in Malaysia and the district's new icon Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), the most modern and dynamic neighborhood in the capital.

Part of the luxury & lifestyle portfolio of IHG Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton brings its now globally recognizable formula to Kuala Lumpur: Bold style, human hospitality, and spaces that are not just hotels, but real places to live.
A new landmark in the heart of the city

The Kimpton Naluria rises above The Exchange TRX Mall, in the heart of the city's new financial and lifestyle hub, with spectacular views of some of Kuala Lumpur's landmarks such as Merdeka 118 and the KL Tower. The hotel is spread over 26 floors and offers 466 rooms and suites, designed to combine design, comfort and a strong connection to the local area.
Interiors play on monolithic surfaces, sinuous shapes, and abstract works inspired by Malaysian rainforests, combined with intensely colored tiles, leaf-shaped mirrors, and golden details in bathrooms. There is no shortage of attention to detail typical of the brand: luxury amenities signed ARgENTUM and Penhaligon's, minibar with local specialties such as pandan granola and gula melaka, salted egg yolk chips, and even a spiced artisanal cola made in Malaysia.
Kimpton DNA: design, humanity and "joy through instinct"
Founded in San Francisco in 1981, Kimpton has always made personal experience its hallmark. And in Kuala Lumpur, too, the concept is clear: not just a place to sleep, but A space that tells stories, smells and tastes of the city, inviting guests to "follow their instincts toward joy," as the name Naluria suggests.
"This is not just a new opening, but a promise: to offer unique experiences, inspirational spaces and deeply human hospitality," said General Manager Paul Cunningham.
Architecture inspired by nature

The interior design project is signed by the international studio Hassell, who developed the concept "Botanics Beyond Aesthetics": a visual narrative in which the tropical nature of Malaysia enters the spaces of the hotel through Earthy tones, deep greens, organic materials and large heights in the lobby, creating an elegant yet welcoming environment.
Four destination restaurants (and a unique rooftop bar)
In keeping with Kimpton tradition, food & beverage is one of the pillars of the experience. At Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur debuts a gastronomic proposal articulated in four distinctive concepts:
Tuai + Till - Two souls in one space: on the one hand the comfort of a Malaysian café with farm-to-table cuisine, on the other a refined Western brasserie with great attention to fermentations and raw materials.
Four Siblings - The Malaysia's first spice theme bar and unique rooftop bar in the TRX district. Inspired by the historic spice trade and the aromatic "four pillars"-cinnamon, clove, cardamom, and star anise-it blends Malaysian and South American influences.
Rise & Grind - Contemporary espresso bar in grab & go style, with attention to the third-wave coffee and to the tradition of local kopitiam. Starring the grains of Liberica, a variety grown in Malaysia.
Saturday's - Coming in early 2026: the First retro-style Italian-American restaurant of the country, a tribute to the 1970s, disco nights and the "Red Sauce Joint" culture.
Kimpton services: small details that make a difference
Guests also find the brand's classics here: Yoga mats in the room, free bikes to explore the city, the morning boost "Kimpton Kickstart" with Liberica's cold brew, teh tarik and detox shot, and the evening ritual Kimpton Social, designed to encourage meetings and conversations over drinks and tastings by the chef.

There is also the program "Forgot It? We've Got It!", which provides free forgotten items: from smartphone chargers to personal care products.
Wellness with a skyline view
Wellness here goes beyond just the gym. Guests find:
- Minibar with prebiotic drinks, protein bar and healthy snacks
- Rooftop fitness area with advanced equipment, including self-powered treadmill
- Free sessions with professional trainers: pilates, HIIT, personal training and sunrise yoga with a view of the city
In 2026, the Connection Hub, a modular space with five rooms dedicated to events, product launches and private meetings.
In conclusion
With this opening, Kimpton officially enters Malaysia and it does so in a big way, bringing to Kuala Lumpur a hotel that is not just a new luxury address, but a complete lifestyle experience, where design, gastronomy and hospitality come together in a contemporary tale of the city. A new hotspot to mark on the agenda for those who love to travel in style.
