One hundred and forty flights, actually eventually became 145, And it certainly cannot go smoothly. So many companies, so many airports, hundreds of lounges, and thousands of people met shooting around the world. Every year I draw up my TFCBest rankings, but also TFCflops.
In this article:
Today on Epiphany Day here's who I'm delivering the coal to, of course the black and bitter kind.
The methodology
Even for flops, such as Best, I value only experiences that I have experienced firsthand, not hearsay or readers' stories.
The flop of 2024 was Allegris
A product designed to bring back Lufthansa tops global rankings, a cabin that has been waiting nearly 10 years and still flies lame on Dreamliners and is expected to arrive on 747s sooner or later and will never arrive on A380s.

I flew on the A350 with the new cabins. from China to Munich. The door that does not close, the special menu that exists only on paper, the price in the place choice exaggerated and not discounted for those with status, absolutely did not convince me. Expectations were so high, the disappointment was bitter. Over the course of 2026 I will try Swiss's version, and then I will return to fly Lufthansa's as well, because nor is it fair to give a second chance to a product that is destined to have specific weight for the next 10 years in European skies.
Worst airline: Neos
Yes true, it is the only PE I have flown on in 2025, but the point is that it was the worst PE not only of the 25, but of all the ones I have tried to date.
I honestly expected a very good product And instead it was not. PE chairs with recline totally, economy catering, only served in a china plate, no drinks. Charter company stuff, not scheduled carrier stuff. Delayed planes and ... never mind the fact that ... I was "strikked" by a video on YT.
The worst business class: the old Emirates 777s.
The Dubai-based airline is undoubtedly the #1 in the world by brand, it has managed to create a very high hype around its name, but it is also true that today in Italy and the rest of the world it still flies a lot of 777/300s outfitted with one of the worst business classes in the world, a 2-3-2 configuration.
Of course it is spending billions to renovate the interiors of its planes, but it was an operation that was supposed to be done for years and instead they are still flying, and a lot. The crazy thing is that this review is the one that received the most "criticism" on my channels, many users sided with the company, not understanding that mine is not a judgment on the company, but only on this configuration.
Worst economy: Asiana
The company soon to be absorbed by Korean Air has been a disappointment: if the business on the A380 was half-saved the economy was a disaster.
For the first time I felt "looked at wrong" for the first time I had an unpleasant feeling of being an "unwelcome" guest on board, this despite the fact that I was traveling as a paying passenger, complete with Gold Star Alliance status and almost without even having moved from my seat. Really bad.
The worst hotel of 2025: Four Seasons Cairo
If I made a ranking of the absolute worst hotels I have ever stayed in my life, probably, this hotel would be on the podium.
The most absurd thing is that I was also contacted by the hotel after my review, but of the promised email I received nothing.
The world's worst lounge in 2025 is Kuwait Airways' first class lounge
Last year Kuwait Airways had won the worst airline award, and this year its First Class lounge wins TFCflop., to call her First Class is a disgrace to all other female colleagues.

Just the fact that to go to the bathroom you have to leave and go to the business class lounge is motivation enough to give the award, For everything else, just read the review.
Mentions of dishonor
If when I draw up the rankings there are honorable mentions, there must also be honorable mentions for those who demerit but were saved by someone who did significantly worse.
- Gulf Air's business class disappointed me., I had high expectations after the excellent service in economy, but at the 9 test Bahrain company failed the test.
- L'Anglo American Hotel Florence Curio Collection disappointed me so much, net of the decidedly worse rating of the Four Seasons I was seriously debating whether to award this Florentine 5-star with the Worst Hotel of 2025 award.
- La Blush by Plaza Premium at T4 London Heathrow would have deserved the worst lounge award, but fortunately for him Kuwait did worse, much worse.
In conclusion
All in all, it has been a very fortunate year, there have been very few disappointments, and on the contrary, there have been many good experiences, and I have recounted (almost) all of them.
