No ifs or buts. The Plaza Premium First Lounge at Rome Fiumicino is worth what it costs.

In the past few days I have been for the "first time", as a customer, in the new Plaza Premium First in Rome Fiumicino, if you do not know what it is about it is The new lounge that the Asian group opened in late December.
In this article:

So I don't have to tell what it offers, where it is located, or why it is different from all the others. So this will be a different review from all the others, because I want to tell only and exclusively about my experience as a customer.
Who can enter this lounge for free
First, a necessary update with respect to access criteria. Passengers who fly aboard Air France KLM in La Premiere or who, regardless of cabin hold Ultimate Flying Blue status get in for free.

Sky Express and Air Europa business class passengers get in for free. Finally, Emerald oneworld status holders traveling with Iberia also have free access.
Everyone else has to pay if they want to enter.
I paid for the first time to enter a lounge
I have always said, that except in rare cases, I do not recommend paying to get into lounges. Of course in an airport like Istanbul where even water is a luxury good it may make sense, but otherwise the case history must be very specific: long layover and inability to find adequate accommodation where you can wait for your flight.

Here I was in this situation: I had a lot of time to spend at Fiumicino between flights, I could have used one of the many other lounges present at T1 or T3, but instead I preferred to spend 33€ and I must say that I am more than satisfied. Obviously without Priority pass the cost goes up to 70€ and in this case I would not recommend it to anyone.
My honest opinion
No pun intended, it's a world apart, it's a parallel reality. It's like entering the beautiful Air France lounge at 2F or the lounge at La Premiere.

It's not just me saying this, it's also said by many Ultimate people who decided to fly to FCO just and only to try it out. The staff is top and like a 5-star hotel escorts you inside and shows you everything the hall has to offer, explains how the foo&Beverage service works and all the services.
The food offerings are top-notch, and the bartenders and cocktails are simply trendy, not lounge.
In short, there is no reason not to spend the wait here between flights, even without necessarily having to sit in the restaurant and eat the paid offerings.
In conclusion
This week's is a "atypical" review, but after being a guest in this lounge I waited to enter it like everyone else to make my final judgment.
I congratulate all the staff because they really make you feel like a welcome person and not a number that has to vacate the place as soon as possible.

Pro
- The staff
- The gastronomic offerings
- The design
Against
