At the ongoing Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg., Air Canada has unveiled its new long-haul cabins of the future, which will be fitted on Airbus A321XLRs and Boeing 787-10s scheduled to enter the fleet in 2026, and on future Airbus A350-1000s..
In this article:
The carrier ordered 30 XLRs and 18 787-10s (with options for 12 more aircraft) and called the 'Glowing Hearted' interior concept.. Materials and colors will be entirely new compared to those found on the company's other long-haul aircraft.

XLRs will be the first narrow-body aircraft in Canada to have lie-flat seats in Business Class: oriented toward the inside of the cabin, will be in a 1-1 configuration and will be equipped with a 19-inch IFE screen and Bluetooth audio. In Economy there will be 168 seats in a 3-3 configuration per row, with a 13-inch screen and Bluetooth audio. Overall, the 182-seat total layout is quite 'dense'.

For its Boeing 787-10s, Air Canada has chosen to follow the trend of having the front row of the Business Class cabin (as is the case, for example, with Lufthansa's Allegris, Swiss's Senses but also on Condor's A330-900s) equipped with wider seats, more legroom, and greater privacy-the Canadian carrier has named these four front seats Signature Plus. Real suites with a full 27-inch IFE screen and Bluetooth audio.

The 38 Signature Class seats arranged 1-2-1 with the seats on either side of the cabin facing the windows will have a 19-inch screen and Bluetooth audio.

Behind them are 28 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 configuration and individual 16-inch screens with Bluetooth audio.

At the 'tail', Economy's 262 seats in the classic 3-3-3 row arrangement of Dreamliners will have a 13-inch screen and Bluetooth audio.
