The latest news about Milan-Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY)

L'Milan-Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY) is one of Italy's main airports for low-cost traffic and mainly serves the city of Bergamo, but also Milan, being located about 45 km northeast Of the Lombard capital city.

Opened in the 1972, as a civilian airport, the airport has seen steady growth and now connects over 130 destinations Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Thanks to the presence of numerous low-cost airlines, especially Ryanair, which has chosen BGY as one of its main hubs, Orio al Serio represents an important gateway for travelers seeking cheap and fast flights.

With over 14 million passengers per year, the airport plays a key role in the Lombardy airport system. It is equipped with a terminal modern and well-equipped, designed to handle a high volume of traffic efficiently and comfortably.

In addition to passenger traffic, the airport in Milan-Bergamo has a dedicated cargo section, making it a key logistics hub for northern Italy. Orio al Serio Airport continues to be a point of reference for both leisure and business travelers, thanks to its proximity to Milan and the wide range of flights available.
