A new Hilton family hotel in Padua is scheduled to open in the fall.
In this article:
The renovation took nearly two years, and when completed, what was formerly known as the Plaza Hotel will become the city's first Hilton sign, the fourth in the Veneto region after the Molino Stucky in Venice and the other two facilities that gravitate to the lagoon city the DoubleTree Venice North and the Garden Inn Mestre.
It does not currently appear on the official website, even looking for rooms for next year. The facility will have 130 rooms, conference rooms, gymnasium and restaurant.
It will thus be a downtown business hotel in the Garden Inn style. Confirmation comes from the city administration: "According to the schedule communicated to us by the Apama Group, the company that will operate it as a franchise on behalf of the international Hilton chain, the former Plaza hotel should open its doors in September. Pandemic permitting, of course, and with great confidence in the return of tourism."
The opportunity to stay in the northeastern city and simultaneously accumulate points given the presence of Marriott and IHG facilities in the city as well is enhanced.
This opening is one of three new features planned for this year under the Hilton sign, the other two will be in Rome: the new Doubletree in the Monti district and the much-anticipated Hilton Eur just steps away from the Fuksas cloud.
