EasyJet, the Story
Founded in 1995 by Stelios Haji-Ioannou, it took its first steps thanks to two Boeing 737-200s, leased from GB Airways. Time has passed since then, and today the carrier is the third largest in the world, in the low-cost arena, in terms of passengers carried (behind only Southwest and Ryanair).
It is headquartered at London Luton Airport. After using exclusively Boeing 737s, with success, comes the announcement in 2002 that a transition to Airbuses would begin. To date, they represent the entire fleet, with A319-100s destined for decommissioning, in place of A320neo. These are joined by A320-200s and A321neo aircraft.
