Mandatory cruise vaccine? More and more shipping companies are requesting it. The latest in order of time was Atlas Ocean Voyages, which decided to include vaccination as a mandatory requirement as of Oct. 4, 2o21. This, on board cruises departing from Europe (more precisely from Lisbon) and arriving in the Caribbean (St. Lucia and Barbados). The double test procedure will also continue: an antigen test upon embarkation, and a certificate of a negative test carried out in the 48 or 72 hours prior to departure depending on the type of investigation.

Why is the vaccine increasingly mandatory on cruises? First, because many destinations now admit only vaccinated travelers. Also, for the restart of the cruise industry, safety is everything.
