We have already talked about La Compagnie, the French carrier that offers only business class seats on board its planes. The debut of the Milan/New York route was supposed to take place in October, but the delay in the reopening of borders forced the company to change plans by postponing it until next spring.
In this article:
The carrier, the only one in the world offering only business class flights aboard Airbus A321, the same ones used by TAP Portugal e JetBlue to cross the Atlantic, already operates from Paris and Nice, Milan Malpensa will be the first connection outside French soil.
On board the Airbus A321 there are only 76 seats divided into 19 rows. Being a single-aisle aircraft, the cabin configuration includes a 2-2 layout.
In the cabin, everything is taken care of down to the last detail starting with the comfortable armchairs that turn into comfortable beds.
Each station is equipped with a screen of more than 15 inches, and there is wi-fi on board.
To mark its new debut date, next April 15, the transalpine carrier has kicked off a "blue week" that will end on November 23. Until that date it will be possible to book a round-trip ticket from Milan Malpensa to New York, New Jersey shore, for less than €1,200, all inclusive.
The fare is absolutely competitive, although it should be specified, you will be arriving at Newark airport definitely more inconvenient than JFK.
Plenty of choice from Milan to the U.S.
Definitely next year there will be no shortage of competition on the Milan-New York route. Of course, business class aboard an A321 is nowhere near the experience on an Emirates A380, however, it will be a completely different world we will find ourselves in in April 2022. Many people will probably prefer Flying for 9 hours on a plane with only 80 people on board rather than 500, and this will only be an advantage for passengers who will enjoy very competitive fares due to the competition that the various carriers will have.
