The omicron variant had closed Israel's doors. to tourists from all over the world, then, as the first data emerged, there had been an initial relaxation of restrictions, and now Starting Sunday, January 9, Italians will be able to return to the, including for tourism, in the Middle Eastern state.

- a PCR test (within 72 hours prior to entry into Israel) or an antigenic test (within 24 hours prior to entry into Israel) to be made in the country of origin.
- execution of A PCR test upon arrival in Israel resulting in entry into isolation for 24 hours or until notification of a negative test result is received.
The new rules are very similar to measures taken by other governments in recent weeks. England recently abolished the PCR arrival and isolation, while the requirements are the same as those required by the Thailand Sandbox Protocol or from the Singapore VTL.
