It opened its doors during the pandemic and since then brought attention and people back away from the Strip, in old Las Vegas, that of Downtown and the Freemont Experience. The Circa is not just another hotel or casino. It is a journey into the past of Sin City, where everything, however, is reimagined in a modern way.
In this article:
#1 It is the first new hotel in Downtown that has opened in 40 years. The last new construction in this part of town was in the early 1980s, a time when the Strip was now taking over and shifting the attention of investors and visitors to South Las Vegas.
Circa opened its doors in October 2020, and since then, tourists visiting Sin City have begun to frequent the Downtown area again specifically to stay, or simply spend time, at this resort.
#2 There are no children in the area, not even passing through. At all doors, not just the casino doors, everyone's ID is checked; if you are not 21 years old, you don't even get in to browse. This means that even in the hotel's 777 rooms there are no guests who are not of drinking or gambling age in Nevada. This obviously translates into the total absence of dedicated spaces for children and families, and the focus is all on those who want to have all-around fun
#3 Vegas Vickie, the historic Glitter Glitch strip sign. which occupied the land on which Circa now stands, has been rescued and is now the undisputed star in the heart of the facility. Impossible not to take a selfie or snap a photo from one of the many possible angles.
#4 There is not only Circa in Downtown, this resort is definitely the glitziest thing but here is the history of Las Vegas, the historic casinos and many things to do and see. For example, fly on the zipline or enjoy the spectacle of the giant LED screen that covers the entire pedestrian area.
#5 There are no points or discounts that can be used If you want to stay at this resort. Or rather the only way is through their players club, which is the casino loyalty program. I have not stayed in this hotel (for the time being, so I cannot judge the quality of the hotel part).
#6 It is the realm of the sweet tooth. All the reviews you read around the web speak highly of all the many dining options this resort has to offer.
#7 After entering Circa's Sportsbook, you won't be able to go to the "sports bar" anymore. to watch any soccer game or any other sporting event. And on "hot" days you can't tell if you are in the best nightclub in Las Vegas, the adult version of Wonderland, or a casino.
#8 The pool, it is not just another pool. First of all, it is obviously the largest in Downtown Las Vegas, but it is also a club, a mega sportsbook, an amphitheater for events-it is an ecosystem of its own, living off its own energy 365 days a year.
#9 Not just another casino. First of all, it is not a place just for men, although it is certainly the main target audience. The dealers are in bikinis and shirts. The tables have cubists, the music is blaring, and everything is designed to distract the player (and make him lose as much money as possible).
#10 Even parking, which is as expensive as sin., has been transformed into a happening and a place where something extraordinary can always happen.
In conclusion
The soul of this resort has its roots in old Las Vegas, but it is reimagined in a modern key, in the new city of sin that plays with transgressions, knowing full well that people are coming here less and less to gamble and more and more for all that has been built around casinos.
