Anyone who has traveled more than once in his or her life has accumulated experiences of absurd behavior of passengers on board. The stories are the most diverse, and although there are cultural differentiations depending on the country, the basic rule for these people is always the same: total disregard for others.
All that matters is one's own comfort. In fact, these are the kind of passengers who regard the plane as their living room. Everyone else, including the cabin crew, are guests, so to speak. That ticket paid for, perhaps very little thanks to the offers of low-cost airlines, seems to guarantee the right to be in charge.
Add to that a pandemic, and the effect is truly devastating. In recent years, in fact, we have seen a sharp increase in cases of boarding confrontations. Nervousness is skyrocketing and disregard for others follows in tandem.
Hair in coffee
A video on TikTok is going viral. Those who posted it swear that it is not yet another staged clip, that is, a staged affair between two friends, relatives or boyfriends, who actually orchestrate a clip to blow up on the web.
On Sept. 29, the woman who posted the video found herself sitting behind a rude passenger aboard an Aegean plane. The trip from Athens to Amsterdam was a nightmare, considering how the person in front thoughtfully let go of her own hair on the headrest, causing it to fall backward into the space reserved for other passengers. The result? Strands almost soaked in coffee.

Rude on board
Trying to put together a collection of airplane horror stories would be quite complex. So let's try to focus on recent examples so that we can realize the "dangers" in flight in the post-Covid-19 era.
Indeed, we are returning to normalcy, despite the fact that the pandemic is not officially over. This means fewer restrictions and bureaucracy, but also more "peace of mind" on the part of passengers, who have often returned to their unhealthy habits.
Just think of what happened on a Finnair flight from Helsinki to Malaga. The pilot was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Paris last September to disembark a passenger with unseemly behavior. At Charles de Gaulle Airport, he was later picked up by police.
The Wall Street Journal published an analysis last June, in which it referred precisely to the need to go back to learning the proper behavior to have on board. After the last few years, in which travel has often been impossible, it really seems that the level of rudeness has increased. People are much more frustrated, and there is often a feeling that some people are voluntarily going for the fight.

The incident occurred in mid-September, while later in the month another video went viral. We are aboard a Southwest plane, mom and daughter get kicked out from the vehicle because they threaten other passengers. All to get better seats, demanding that everyone move to provide them with more comfort.
