Sardinia is looking ahead to the summer with hopes of returning to 2019 figures in terms of Italian and foreign tourism. In this sense, the decision of Gov. Solinas not to extend the ordinance that was set to expire June 15: vacations allowed without vaccination, certificate of recovery or tampon. Goodbye to the limit imposed on indoor restaurants and, therefore, the Green Pass. Let's see specifically what are the rules to follow.

Solinas opens Sardinia to all
General green light in Sardinia, which removed the last obstacle to a return to pre-pandemic tourism as far as possible. The region's president, Christian Solinas, has decided to no longer require any pass or buffer whatsoever from anyone planning to land on the island, by boat or plane. A way to make it easier for anyone hunting for days of absolute relaxation and fun. No access limits, just as in the rest of Italy, which provides for Free movement between yellow and white regions.
June 15 was the turning point date. Up to that point it was necessary to meet certain requirements by complying with certain steps. Registration on the region's website or on the Sardinia Sicura app was required.
The region is in white zone since May 31, but Solinas had extended the obligations until the middle of this month, at which time he chose not to renew the ordinance, officially giving the green light to the movement of tourists from all regions of Italy.
Entering Sardinia, here's how
As of June 16, Sardinia is a white zone for all intents and purposes, having dropped certain limits. Tourists and second-home owners will be able to disembark without having to carry vaccination certificates or negative swabs. No registration will be required and everyone will be able to ignore the dictates regarding the Green Pass.
Different is the case for foreign tourists or Italians returning from abroad. In this case, in fact, national regulations apply. However, access to Sardinian territory is as free as possible, although the region may of course Return to restricting locals and tourists in case of increased infections.
The white zone also allows for the lapsing of a regulation related to restaurants, which had caused much controversy. An area of 20 cubic meters of air per customer will no longer have to be measured in indoor spaces. There will only be an appeal to the national six-person standard for those sitting at a table in a bar or restaurant that is not outdoors.
