Today we discuss the latest invention from Marriott. which has launched the Mystery Bonus promotion until Sept. 25.
The difference from usual point sales is that the bonus is not fixed for All users of the Bonvoy loyalty program, but changes from user to user. Probably based on factors such as point usage, stays, elite level and other values.

To find out about your bonus you need to go into your profile personal and click on "discover the mystery bonus." As you can see, in my case the points given away are 50% of those bought. This means that I will receive 50k points in case of a 100k purchase.
Points can be used to sleep for free in the group's hotels around the world, including Italy.
For an expenditure of 1.250$ thanks to my bonus I will receive a total of 150k Bonvoy points, enough to sleep 7 nights in one of the brand new Marriott facilities in the Maldives, or 13 nights at the Sheraton Milan San Siro.
Buying points, only and exclusively when there are such promotions, can save a lot of money. In the example of the Sheraton with an average price per night of not less than 150€, here buying points would save almost 50% on the reservation cost.
Does it pay off?
It always depends on the intended use of the points, If the bonus is higher than 40%, my advice is that the promotion is interesting and so it may make sense to buy the 100k points, which is the maximum allowed.
