Travel ban doesn't go away, La Compagnie postpones Milan-New York connection

La Compagnie's first A321 from Milan Malpensa to the US will not take off at the end of November, the only company in the world which operates cabins set up exclusively with business class seats. Still too much uncertainty reigns in the world of intercontinental travel, especially those to the other side of the Atlantic Ocean given that Biden does not seem intent on lifting the ban on EU citizens' entry.
All about the connection
In this article:
Tickets for the connection had gone on sale in recent months, but now on the carrier's website these flights can no longer be purchased until April 2021, unchanged schedules:
- B0300 Milan to Newark departing 13:35, arriving 17:10
- B0301 Newark to Milan departing 21:50, arriving 12:15 the following day
The operating schedules are very interesting: departing from Milan shortly after lunchtime arriving in late afternoon in New York, while the return flight from the U.S. is at the end of the day allowing passengers to take advantage of the comfortable sleeper seats and arrive in Italy perfectly rested. At the moment, round-trip tickets cost just under €1,500, a very competitive fare compared to other carriers operating the same route.
The Compagnie does not participate in any alliances, so it is not possible to use points/miles from other carriers; however, there is the proprietary loyalty program that allows you to Accumulate points to fly for free in a very simple way.
About La Compagnie
With a fleet consisting only of brand new Airbus A321neo, La Compagnie is unique in the world of aviation. Voted the best French airline by Tripadvisor users last year, it was also ranked eighth on the list of the best 1o companies operating in the United States by the prestigious Travel and Leisure.
The special feature is that for its connections between Paris (Orly) and Nice to New York (Newark) it offers only business class seats.
On board the Airbus A321 there are only 76 seats divided into 19 rows. Being a single-aisle aircraft, the cabin configuration includes a 2-2 layout.
In the cabin, everything is taken care of down to the last detail starting with the comfortable armchairs that turn into comfortable beds.
Each station is equipped with a screen of more than 15 inches, and there is wi-fi on board.

But the pampering for passengers begins on the ground with the possibility of booking transfers to and from the airport by helicopter as well, and, of course, with the ever-present lounges at all the airports served.
In conclusion
It was logical to expect such a choice in this key of uncertainty. Also JetBlue has reduced the frequencies of its connection between New York and London waiting to return to a world with easier and more certain travel.
