Volare match status, those who have obtained it will maintain the level until January 2024

We admit, we had missed this small detail. In ITA Airways' Volare loyalty program. We catch up with it now also because it is definitely a interesting news for all frequent flyer members of the new Italian company.
In this article:
We have recounted in many articles the two different status match campaigns launched by ITA: the first one in October and the second in early 2022.

I myself took advantage of the first initiative, Obtaining the premium level. I have made a few flights, reviews of which you can read. Among them the one Of the new Superior class On domestic routes, intra-EU business and more recently the new flagship to Buenos Aires. Both in Business and Economy.
As I happened to write, of all my current statuses, ITA's was the least interesting one and for which I would have done nothing to renew it beyond 2022. Had there been a possibility I would have chosen to credit my ITA flights on Air France to renew my Platinum level, but at the moment that is not yet possible.
So, thanks in part to the promotion that gives double points for flights made by the end of July, I have accumulated enough points To renew the premium level, the one that as the main benefit gives access to ITA's lounges (at the moment very few). It should also allow you to take advantage of Sky Team's Elite+ privileges, but as we have written several times this is not happening.
Points credited for status match
There is, however, one small, big, detail. Not only did ITA Airways release status based on the Status Match campaign, it also credited points in April on all Volare user profiles.
Effective qualifying points, which in fact also apply to renewal. Here, then, are all Volare members, even holders who will not make a single flight in 2022 but have obtained match status, will have their level renewed for next year as well.
In my case it was even a bigger surprise: between points given away and points accrued in the field, I am currently at over 120k qualifying points in 2022 and this led me up a notch by reaching the highest level (Unless two new secret levels are revealed sooner or later) of ITA's loyalty program, namely Executive status.
The surprise came by e-mail in recent days, after they were credited about 50k Volare points obtained with the ticket to Buenos Aires.
Now I just have to wait for the surprise by mail as well, since the Executive level is the only one that involves sending the physical card to the holder (everyone else has only the virtual card).
In conclusion
This initiative is certainly interesting and goes some way to alleviate the hardship of current members. The program has started later than planned, there are still few flights as well as intercontinental routes, and most importantly, privileges are non-existent when flying with an airline other than ITA.
Fiumicino lounge issue
Over the next 7 days Alitalia's old lounge should (re)open. in the Pier A area. A buffer solution while waiting for the brand new lounge within the recently opened terminal area to open by the end of the year, a lounge that according to rumors will be a brand new design.
