L'Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN), located about 15 km southwest of the center of Barcelona, is one of the main airports in the Spain and the region of the Catalonia. Named after the town of El Prat de Llobregat, where it is located, this airport is a key gateway for the city and for Mediterranean tourism.
Opened as a civilian airport in the 1918, Barcelona Airport has seen exponential growth over the decades, becoming today a major international hub serving more than 200 destinations in Europe, America, Africa and Asia. With about 50 airlines operational, BCN is a strategic node for intercontinental traffic and for domestic and European routes.
Every year, about 53 million passengers transit through the airport, which has two main terminals, T1 e T2, with modern, efficient and well-organized facilities to provide a comfortable travel experience.
